Penny Tweedt, CPT

Hi, I’m Penny Tweedt, I’m a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), nationally certified (NHHO), as well as in Washington – which requires a separate certification from Idaho.  I’ve been doing blood draws since 2009. I trained as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist and have worked for St Luke’s, St Al’s, LabCorp and Intermountain Hospital in Boise. 

After working for hospitals and large companies, I decided to become a mobile phlebotomist and take the job on the road. I really enjoy the flexibility, the ability to make my own schedule and to help people who either can’t get out of the house or are too busy to take the time to go wait in a waiting room.

I have experience with all ages and conditions, and can usually find a vein quickly, and some say more painlessly.  I like to put people at ease and it usually takes less than 15 minutes to finish everything. My mission is to make people as comfortable as possible doing testing that no one really likes, but almost everyone needs now and then.

In my spare time I hang out with my grandkids and take RV camping trips to enjoy the Idaho outdoors.
